- pretty much done. Just need to fill in a few white spots that I didn't see before
- still debating on the wings. I do have a layer on the .psp file that has them colored in. Just have to do the hair, collar, headband and then I can call this one done
- pretty much started this one - you can see my pencil lines for the edit. Ditched the huge ball earring in favor of Iranda's signature style (which meant I had to extend the streak and craft an ear). Ditched the earring on the other side and extended the streak. Will be halving the hair and crafting Iranda's head piece and rolled bit. Then comes the color. I'm debating on the color of the streaks - I'm thinking since there's four, I can make those the color of the Dragon Flyz, dunno yet. [Since Ry pointed out how much Skyler is like Aaron, I may have to find a nice cap of Skyler to, you know, transform into Aaron, heh.]oh, and you all saw this one coming ;) [file name Beauty and the Beast, heh]

so, since females are bloody rare in Dragon Flyz, I decided to "borrow" one of the Sky Dancers [Jade] to work as Ilona
here's two of the multiple steps being taken to have this happen:

why does Skyla have pink eyes? Or hair that's the same shade as her skin tone in one scene? Didn't the hand that was holding the microphone in one scene have the glove on it in a prior scene?

...I'm so tempted to Photoshop the hell out of some of these caps just in name of good taste [like making her hair a different shade, editing some of the clothes so they aren't so glaringly '90s hideousness]

Dec. 27th, 2012 09:19 amSkyla watched from the shadows, leaning against the nearest pillar. Her eyes softened as she watched her students, her ..children.. practice. She sighed softly, longingly. If only, if only... She came out of the shadows and made her way over to Jade, gently helping the ballerina with her brisé. "That's it, Jade," she said quietly before drifting over help Angelica with one of her moves. "Easy, easy," she crooned quietly. "You're going to trip if you aren't paying attention."
"Thank you, Dame Skyla," Angelica said, smiling up at her teacher. Normally she would have been irritated with the correction, but today, well today was different. She returned her attention back to the dance she was practicing for the next show.
Skyla nodded and drifted over to the next student, gently guiding them. It was a rare moment of quiet so she could afford to let herself soften. She'd become the strict headmistress later but for now..
"Thank you, Dame Skyla," Angelica said, smiling up at her teacher. Normally she would have been irritated with the correction, but today, well today was different. She returned her attention back to the dance she was practicing for the next show.

Dec. 17th, 2012 12:50 pmApex stared in wonder at seeing the female before her. A small part of her wanted to address her by the name she knew her by - "Mother" - but she couldn't. It wasn't Mother, at least, not yet. She hadn't realized how pretty she was - or how much she looked like her. "No," she answered softly. "You don't."
Iranda took it for what it was worth and nodded. "I'm Iranda," she said politely, offering her hand to shake.
'I know,' came the unshared response. Instead, Apex took the offered hand and smiled. "Ailyn," she offered, giving her a slightly shy smile. Mother always loved calling her Ailyn [even if Father insisted that her name was Apex].
"Ailyn," Iranda repeated softly. "It's a beautiful name."
Apex wondered for a moment if this just ensured that she was going to be named Ailyn when she was born, but shook herself mentally, not wanting to deal with the headache that was bound to rise up. Her eyes widened as she saw the figure approaching Iranda from behind.
Aaron placed his hands over Iranda's eyes and chuckled. "Guess who?" he asked.
"Aaron," Iranda sighed and pushed his hands down. She turned [gracefully, oh so gracefully - why couldn't she be as graceful as her mother] and faced Aaron. "What was that about?"
"Nothing," he said, chuckling. "Just wanted to surprise you. Did it work?"
"No," Iranda said, shaking her head. "But I'll give you an a for effort." She lightly kissed him, slowly curling into his arms.
Apex was silent, trying not to cry at seeing her parents - so young and so in love.
Skyla reached over and squeezed her shoulder, trying to comfort the misplaced youth.

Oh, /hell/ was her first reaction before she glanced down at what she was wearing and, well, let's just say being bonded to a dragon did nothing for her vocabulary as she tried to figure out what the hell she had on since this clearly wasn't her flight suit.
Skyla just glanced up at the young woman, trying to place where she had seen her before - if she had seen her before. There was just this sudden growing headache and she couldn't fathom why - before it dawned on her. Oh /hell/. Honestly, one of these days she was going to have to teach her Sky Dancers why they did not play with any crystal they didn't recognize.
"I don't suppose you know where I am," Apex said slowly, feeling more then a bit lost.
"The Wingdom," Skyla offered, standing slowly. "Come, walk with me," she said, taking the young woman's arm and wandering the castle's grounds as she spoke quietly with her. Hopefully she could keep Apex from meeting someone she shouldn't and further causing chaos to the time stream.
"Hey, Skyla," Slam called as he jogged over. "Oh, who's the babe?" he asked, eying her appreciatively.
Skyla merely fixed Slam with a look, which made him quail. "She's a friend of the family so I'd appreciate if you showed her the proper respect." Now if she could only keep this from spiralling out of further control. Of course, that didn't last long as the one woman she hoped that Apex wouldn't meet came running over to greet her. Oh /hell/.

Nov. 19th, 2012 09:11 pmIt was just a small box - nothing flashy, easily overlooked. But the contents hidden within - the small box held such hope, such promise. He glanced at the box in his hand, the one that would seal his fate from now until the day he died. He quietly walked over to her, settling down next to her. "Hey," he murmured softly, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "I got you something."
"Oh?" she answered, tilting her head to look at him.
He offered the small box, trying to not as nervous as he felt. A silent prayer escaped him as he waited to see her reaction of the contents.
She opened it slowly, her eyes widening in surprise before she glanced at him. "Is this?" she asked.
He nodded. "Will.. Will you do me the honor of being my wife?" he asked.
She studied the ring before sliding it on. "If you will be my husband, then I will be your wife," she answered, a smile crossing her features.
He let out a cry of delight and kissed her deeply.
"Oh?" she answered, tilting her head to look at him.
He offered the small box, trying to not as nervous as he felt. A silent prayer escaped him as he waited to see her reaction of the contents.
