Dec. 26th, 2017 06:51 pmso, I finally got around to getting the soundtrack to the live action Beauty and the Beast (yeah, late I know - movie's been out how long now?). But what surprised me was one of the verses in The Mob Song, where LeFou pretty much calls Gaston a monster. Complete change from the animated one. (Still my least favorite song but I appreciate the new lyrics)

the moment you realize a character is a complete and utter bastard and you can't for the life of you think of writing him in a fluff piece so you have to scrap the current fic and start over from the ground up. (Luckily, the character only is in the backstory and not in the current storyline so it's not that much of a rewrite but still.. Fuck you, Ardyn, just.. fuck you..)

bleh.. I want to work on Broken Shield but fuck if all the bunnies hie thee hithered off to God's green acres. Blast. Then there's the Beauty and the Daemon one I'm poking at - one of two versions I have planned. The current one has Ardyn turning his son (Noctis - it's an AU, I do what I want XD) into the Beast to save his life. The other is Ardyn doing it because it's Monday and he always fucks with the boys on Monday.
