She may get a drabbled fic at some point but she's not one I plan on really playing with. She just poked her head up after I read a bunch of Descendants fanfic XD And watched a couple of clips from D3)

(There's also a tentative bunny poking about where there's a slight Lovelylocks vibe going on. She's blind, Ben's in Beast form, and both have access to a crystal where he's human and she's not blind. Shut up. I liked Lady Lovelylocks. There's a scene I mentally plotted out where she asks Jay and Evie if they trust her, when they answer they do, she takes them to the Crystal room and does her reveal to them, regarding the Beast)

637 words into the prolog for my newest XV fic - why do I think I'm going to be giving birth to a monster, considering I'm not yet done with the prolog?

and a later section is 721 and that's only the start of that section. I hadn't even gotten to the main storyline yet! I'm still in a flashback for that 721-word section!

edit: current word count for the prolog brings it to 1190 and I still haven't gotten into the story proper! I swear, monster.

the moment you realize a character is a complete and utter bastard and you can't for the life of you think of writing him in a fluff piece so you have to scrap the current fic and start over from the ground up. (Luckily, the character only is in the backstory and not in the current storyline so it's not that much of a rewrite but still.. Fuck you, Ardyn, just.. fuck you..)

Now I have a third story for the Dented Shield universe - Gladio self-branding himself out of misplaced guilt for Noct's death, even if he knew it had to happen - he still failed to protect his prince. Damn it, I didn't need that image..)

I can imagine the reactions of the people who read Dented Shield - "what the fuck, this woman normally writes fluff?"

Althaea - meaning: Healing

Ardyn decided that not for the first time in his life that the Astrals were unbelievable bastards, even Shiva with her so-called affection for humanity was counted amongst the bunch. He had started a slow walk towards his Shield before it became a mad scramble to his side. "Chrysanthus!" he cried, embracing his friend, his Shield, tightly. "What did they do to you?" he asked, tears that were slowly turning inky black with Starscourge racing down his cheeks. "What did they do to you..."

Chrysanthus blinked slowly, a dazed expression on his features before it slowly faded away as recognition blossomed. "Ardyn," he breathed, relieved that his friend, his Prince, was still alive - for whatever definition of alive that could be used to describe the man before him, a man he had loyally served, did loyally serve he amended - he could never serve the brother that demonized his king. "It is nothing." A faint wince crossed his features - stretching the credibility of that statement to the limit.

"Do not lie to me," Ardyn bit out. "That brand is not nothing. Who did this to you?" he asked, a snarl clear in his voice. Someone hurt someone dear to him and that someone would pay dearly. He didn't know how, he didn't know when, but that person would pay dearly.

Chrysanthus said nothing, unsure of how to explain the who and the why and the logic behind it when he himself barely understood it.

"It was the Draconian, my husband," a soft feminine voice said as she approached, moving to comfort her husband. "He blamed Chrysanthus for failing to keep you from quote falling from grace so he felt that he quote had no choice but to punish him for his failure." It was clear the woman felt no love for the draconic Astral.

"Althaea," Ardyn breathed, letting his Shield free so he could hug his beloved wife. "Althaea." He buried his face in the soft curve of her neck and let out a choked sob.

Althaea gently stroked his husband's back, comforting him. "It is not your fault, my husband. Full blame goes to the Draconian."

Dented Shield - the Noctis + Gladio story.

A soccer ball rolled down the street, forgotten until it hit the bumper of a car, setting off the car alarm, instantly drawing attention to it. One Crowe Altius (although currently in disguise as Cynthia Argentum - at least Drautos was allowing her to keep her initials the same - and she had to admit, the kid she was watching over for Cor was a precious little ball of sunshine) stepped outside, wondering why her car alarm was going off. Her dark gaze drifted up the ways where she saw the Shield kneeling by his prince, a look of undisguised panic on his face. "Shit," she swore as she raced down, flicking on her earpiece to get into contact with the rest of the Glaives. "Pelna, send an ambulance to my location. The Star is winking out, repeat, the Star is winking out."

the rabbits are trying to come up with new Nutcracker inspired fic.

so, watched a LoSH video for Timber Wolf set to Skillet's song "Monster" - fuck the rabbits. Bad enough they want me to write a LoSH fanfic, and I still haven't pinned down a look for my OC, but the rabbits for Dragon Flyz have perked up, particularly the Z'neth/Attor rabbits. They're claiming the song as theirs. (I suppose it's better than trying to logic out a Gargoyles AU where Thailog is actually Goliath and Goliath doesn't know)
