Josh made his way over to Fallon, two large mugs in his hands. "Hey," he said, gesturing with one hand to her. "Got you something. Careful, it's hot."

Fallon's eyes softened as she smiled up at him. "Thanks," she said, reaching over and taking it from him. She brought the mug carefully to her lips and took the tiniest of sips. Ah, hot cocoa, and just the way she liked it. "You remembered, thank you."

"Hey, gotta do right by my girl," he said, settling down with his own mug of hot cocoa. "So, I figure, we attempt that new downhill slalom they built?"

Fallon took another sip and nodded. "Sounds good," she said, before moving to sit next to him in front of the fireplace.

Carnation - Perfuma

Perfuma settled down on her bed, removing her carnation colored hat and setting it to the side. Safe within the four walls of her room, she allowed her perky cheerful mask to shatter. She curled in on herself, sobbing quietly. All of nature was screaming out to her and there was nothing she could do - nothing. For every step she took forward, she tumbled back six more as the Fright Zone expanded ever outwards.

"Perfuma? You okay?" the voice of one of the other Rebels called.

"I'm fine," she called back, switching into her perky chipper voice so as to not raise alarm about how she truly felt. She wiped her eyes and struggled to get herself under control again. There would be time to cry later - right now, she had work to do. She picked her hat up and studied it, a weary expression crossing her features. "I'm fine," came the softly spoken, broken sounding echo.

Awww, poor Perfuma! This was a neat little vignette exploring a side of the character that really makes so much sense. (Same thing with characters like Flora, too!)

Kale bit a finger of her right hand, hoping that would be enough to smother her laughter. It was, barely though. Here was the most feared woman in Avalon, one that Merlin had to banish to the Wild Magic because he couldn't truly defeat her and.. And.. She struggled to keep her mirth contained. It was such an epic struggle - especially with her..

The laughter finally escaped her - clearly displeasing the tiny canary.

"I'm sorry, Morgana," she said, her tone implying she was anything but.

She-Ra shook her head, trying to clear it. That last spell of Shadow-Weaver's had quite a kick to it. She blinked her blue eyes slowly, trying to clear her eyes - too much dust had been kicked up and was slightly irritating them. Every part of her body ached and she knew if she had been Adora, the injuries would be ten times worse [or, just feel that way]. "You okay, Bow?" she asked, turning to the other Rebel, when she froze, her eyes wide with horror. A golden statue stood where her friend had been.

"Bow!" she cried, tears racing down her tanned cheeks and she made her way over, limping slightly. "Oh, God, Bow," she whispered, crumpling against his metallic frame.

[and cue the cliffhanger.. mwahaha!]

Amaya was settled on a cushion, reading over some document when she felt a shadow fall on her. She glanced up, one thin eyebrow arching ever so slightly as she took in the newcomer. Prince Amod of the House Garnet was standing before her, looking anxious over something.

She tilted her head. "Yes?" she asked, wondering why he was coming to her and not her mother, before remembering she was the new Head of House Amethyst and as such, they'd be coming to her.

"As our families are old allies, um," he started, rubbing the back of his neck. "My parents would really accept my courtship of Zarkan of House Onyx if you'd give it your blessing."

Amaya kept the stunned expression off her face - she had heard rumors that the two princes of both Onyx and Garnet were infatuated with each other, but to get actual confirmation, that she hadn't been expecting. And that explained why he had come to her - as she was more open to such relationships [unlike the late Lady Senshe, who probably would have died on the spot if she heard of this]. She leaned back, a thoughtful expression crossing her features.

Amod waited for her answer, hoping that he appeared patient. He didn't want to rush things but he really did love Zarkan and he really wanted to be with him [they'd worry about the issue of heirs later] so, he hoped that the new leader of the House of Amethyst could help him.

"Does he make you happy?" she asked quietly, tilting her head slightly.

"Yes," came the quiet response.

Amaya nodded to herself. "And will you make him happy?" she asked.

"I would do anything and everything to ensure that."

Amaya nodded again. "Then you have my blessing," she said. "And I better get a wedding invitation," she said, rising to hug him.

"Thank you, Lady Amaya," he said, hugging her tightly. He bowed and made his way off.

Amaya sunk back down onto her cushion. Well, that was an interesting meeting.

"Something has you all thoughtful," a familiar, and most welcomed, voice said.

She glanced up, a smile crossing her features as she took in the new Lord of House Turquoise, Preet. She rose slowly and made her way over, quietly embracing him. "Hmm.. Just had my first meeting with one of the old family allies that has me thinking about relationships," she said.

"A non-too subtle hint, even for you, m'lady," Preet lightly teased, ruffling her golden tresses.

"Oh, hush," she lightly admonished. "At least it was an easy meeting," she admitted. "I still have to meet with Lord Reishan to confirm his desire to have his brother's eldest being made heir to the White Diamonds. Then I have to meet with the Lord of House Topaz to confirm his making the younger brother to the future Lord of the House of White Diamonds his heir. Hopefully, I'll be able to steal a bite to eat between meetings."

Preet gave a low whistle. "Sounds like a full plate," he said. "Want me to attend the meeting with Lord Reishan?"

"Please," Amaya asked, looking up at him. "Given the history between our families, I could use the support."

"Consider it done," Preet said, holding his Amethyst close.

AN: set many years post movie [the original - never saw Return to Oz]

"Grandma?" Cassia called as she and her twin brother entered the farmhouse. "Grandma?"

"In here," came the warm voice of her grandmother.

Peter lead his twin sister into the living room, spotting their grandmother settled in her favorite rocking chair, working on yet another knitted blanket. "Hello, Grandmother," he said, lightly kissing her left temple.

"Peter, Cassia, welcome home," she said, smiling warmly at her only two grandchildren. "So, what brings you all this way out here? Don't tell me your mother's worrying about me being on my own again. I've managed all right all these years."

"When isn't Mother?" Cassia asked as she made her way over to the lintel above the fireplace and examined the sepia tinted photo of her grandmother and late grandfather. She set it back down, smiling softly at the happy pair in the image.

Her grandmother gave a wry chuckle. "Good point, Cassia. Now, what is the real reason?" she asked, setting aside her knitting.

Peter and Cassia exchanged looks, unsure of how to explain the real reason. "Well, Grandmother, it's like this..." Peter began before gesturing to Cassia to go get the reason. "Well, I suppose it's a good thing that you're sitting down.."

Their grandmother arched an eyebrow and kept it arched until she saw her granddaughter walking back in with someone.. someone she never thought she'd see again. "Scarecrow," she whispered, her voice catching in her throat.

"Hello, Dorothy," he said, walking over to her and taking her aged hands in his cloth ones. "It's time to come home."

Dorothy looked at her grandchildren, who were nodding.

"Peter and I can run the farm, Grandma," Cassia said. "So, go. Be with him."

Dorothy looked at the Scarecrow, her Scarecrow, and wordlessly nodded. "All right," she whispered, letting the tears that she had been trying so hard to suppress flow down her cheeks. "Let's go home, Scarecrow, let's go home."

Aqua - Mermista [Bow, She-Ra]

Mermista lifted herself part way out of the water, her arms resting on the bank and her aqua colored tail still submerged. "She-Ra, what's the matter?" she asked softly, wishing she knew how best to help the princess.

"Bow's been injured and it's all my fault and I have no idea how to help him. I.."

Mermista pulled herself out, her tail slowly becoming legs. "There, there, sweetie," she said, pulling She-Ra into a one-armed hug. "We'll figure out how to get Bow back to himself." A silent 'I hope' was left unsaid. Maybe they were simply overlooking the simplest of answers?

Sky Fury was lazing quietly on her perch [one she wasn't supposed to be on - Summit didn't quite want her on. Something about cat hair being such a bitch to get off the sofa] when the door slammed open and Cifex stormed in.

"Yer sister is ah bleedin' sadist," Cifex said, his accent growing strong as he started to remove the sweater from his body.

"What she do this.." he started and paused. "Is that..?"

"'tis bleedin' mauve," Cifex bit out. "Mauve. She's madder than a wet hen."

"And your accent's showing."

"'ang me bleedin' accent, Summit," Cifex snapped.

Wedgewood - Cream'verse

AN: *gasp* I finally found a rabbit for this 'verse

Ilona was setting down the good Wedgewood china for tonight's dinner with the family when she heard the door open, close with a decided slam. She went back to work, not bothering to stop what she was doing. The dining room was towards the back of the house so by the time he got there, his temper should be less a category five and more a category one.

She glanced up, a thought crossing her mind. "Did you take your shoes off?" she called.

The resulting grumbles told her he hadn't and that he was retracing his steps to the door to take his shoes off and leave them there.

She shook her head slightly and glanced at the baby who was playing on the floor near her. "Daddy's silly," she said quietly, earning a giggle from the baby. Keiko purred from her spot of honor on the window sill.

She had just started pouring the water into the glasses when she glanced up, an eyebrow arched. "Coat."

Z'neth glared at his wife before stalking back to the coat closet to hang it up.

Ilona leaned back, her hand resting gently on the small bump her husband hadn't noticed - yet. "That should be it," she said quietly. "Hopefully, your uncle doesn't decide to be an idiot tonight." But then, it would be entertaining to see how Dread would bait Z'neth this time..

Mahogany - Sky Fury [Summit, Apex]

Sky Fury was half dozing on the mahogany table - one of the 'don't sleep here!' places, which she usually ignored. There was a conversation going on that she was only half listening to - something about her master's sister needing her master to carve some sort of box thing for a kitten [but Blaze was male so how could she.. Oh.. /OH!/]

Lavender - Cream'verse

AN: I'm so sorry with this one

Sky Fury couldn't understand why everything that was colored lavender was being packed away for when Master's elder brother came to visit. Master said the color made his brother sad but Fury couldn't understand why - it was such a pretty color.

"You okay, big bro?" Summit asked his elder brother, offering him a cup of Jack laced lightly with coffee.

"I should have been with her. I knew she hated driving at night when it was raining," he said, staring into the depths of his drink.

Summit didn't know what to say, just watched as his elder brother mourned the loss of his wife.
