AN: Cream'verse

Sky Fury padded over and gently patted Blaze, trying to offer whatever comfort she could muster. This had to be the worst of the offending sweaters that his mistress had stuck him in - she didn't even know they made sweaters in avocado green. She was privately grateful that her master didn't believe in sweaters for fluffy cats.

Summit stared at poor Blaze and then at his younger sister. "I won't blame him if he bites you this time," he said. "Avocado green? Are you sick and twisted, little sis?"

"Meow?"

Summit looked down at Sky Fury, who was pawing at his leg as if she wanted something. He glanced at what was on the table near his hand. "No."

"Meow?"

"I said no."

"Meow."

"Nope. You're not getting it."

"Meow."

Summit groaned quietly. "Fine, here," he muttered, tossing her the small lime.

Sky Fury kitty-smiled and immediately started to bat it around, intent on playing with her new toy.

Plum - Iranda [Aaron, Z'neth]

AN: different take on the family

Iranda had just settled down on the sofa, about to take a bite into one of the plums her husband gotten her when she heard something. She wasn't quite sure what it was - the noise was unfamiliar at best. She took a small bite as she mulled over her options - she could ignore it and wait for Aaron to come home to deal with it or she could go find out herself. She took another bite before deciding to go investigate - hopefully, it wasn't something she couldn't handle herself.

She quietly walked to the door and opened it. She was just about to turn away when she didn't see anyone but something urged her to look down. Her mouth dropped open and her eyes widened at the sight. "Now, where did you come from, little one?" she asked softly as she scooped up the small baby.

The baby sniffled a little but didn't cry - he felt safe in the woman's arms.

Dread stared at the cornflowers, trying to logic out why they were there. True, they were pretty [not that he would admit that! He had a reputation to keep!] but not exactly..

Wait..

He looked at the flowers again and smiled to himself. Ah. Now that was useful. He looked at his general and smiled. "I want you to send some of your best on a scouting trip. Let's see where this oasis is.."

Gangryn frowned slightly at the contents of the vial - the color was sickly olive green, which *wasn't* what color the liquid was supposed to turn. He bit the left corner of his lower lip as he thought it over. Maybe Dread wouldn't comment on the color being off - at least until he could figure out where he had goofed. Then he'd make sure that the son would be the proper color so there would be no questions of paternity.

Nocturna bit into the tangerine, mulling over her options. One, she could remain where she was - with a certain mutant leader, who didn't seem to be coming any closer to conquering the floating city, or two, she could attempt to join the more successful side of the humans. Could she willingly throw away all the years she cultivated her power within his court on a mere whim? Besides, it wasn't even guaranteed that the humans would accept her offer. She took another bite and decided to test the waters as it were - especially if that delicious human had ideas of her switching sides. Now, how to get him..

Wisteria - Sky Fury [Summit, Ilona, Z'neth, Riptor]

"Okay, put her up on the table," a soft feminine voice said.

Sky Fury had to admit that she was curious about the owner of the voice - and especially of that flowery scent. She purred softly, before giving a hiss of protest at being scooped up and placed on a cold table. She kitty-glared at her master, clearly displeased with this turn of events.

"So, what do you think?" Summit asked, waiting impatiently to hear any sort of news about his cat.

"Patience is a virtue, little brother," Z'neth said, entering the exam room.

"I *am* being patient," Summit countered, knowing he wasn't.

"Ha!" came Z'neth's response. Riptor was settled into his familiar draped perch over his left shoulder. He meowed a greeting to his queen, and got a returning purr.

"The two of you," Ilona sighed, silently wishing the pair would be quiet long enough for her to get a proper listen. She gently scooped Sky Fury up and whisked her out of the room. She carried her to a different room and gently set her down on a different table before taking x-rays. She put the images up on the light box and examined them carefully, her finger tracing the faint lines.

"What's taking her so long?" Summit groused, wishing she'd hurry.

"She wants to make sure she has an accurate read," Z'neth said. "You know how anal she is."

Summit snorted at his brother's comment before catching a whiff of wisteria scented perfume. "She's back."

Ilona smiled at Summit and handed him back Sky Fury. "Well, gentlemen, in 66 days we'll find out which side of the tree those kittens take after," she said before putting the x-ray on the light box in the exam room. "I'm seeing about three spines, so, we're looking at a small litter, which is good for a first time mama."

Summit stared at his cat then at his sister. "Okay, bad enough that you were doing it to your cat, which has me questioning your sanity as it is. But for pity's sake, Apex, what the hell were you thinking sticking poor Fury in a fuchsia sweater? Fuchsia! On my cat! If any cat needs a sweater, it's Peak's little demonic cat." He shuddered - clearly still uncomfortable with that naked critter.
