Only mildly annoyed

So, my niece and nephew are doing sand soccer. Fine, sounds interesting. But what has me annoyed is the date for one of their tournaments. June 8th.

Guess what my mother chose to do.

Did you guess "go to their game?"

Because, yes, she chose that over being home to celebrate my birthday. "We'll celebrate it another day."

I shouldn't begrudge her, but damn it, it's my birthday. I shouldn't have to celebrate it on a different day.
