Yarniss - the accursed crochet hooks

Attempt one: ordered prior to Christmas with the promise that they would arrive before then. Vanished off the face of the earth on the 19th of December. I should have taken this as a sign, but I was young and full of hope that another attempt would not fail, which brings us to today (Jan 6)
Attempt two: everything went according to plan - item bought, received a tracking number that I could actually track, item arrived on time. By now you’re wondering, why are they accursed? Because one of the items, specifically the one item that was the whole reason I bought the hooks for my mother, is fucking missing! The digital stitch counter handle is bloody well missing! Everything but that one handle is there.
I have sent a message - letting them know that I’m missing the handle (included a picture to show them that “hey, you forgot something in this one!”) So hopefully, I will be sent the handle.
I have no desire to do an attempt three with this company.
So, I got a response from the company - telling me to contact Amazon for a replacement. So, apparently, this will be a third attempt. All this trouble for a set of crochet hooks.
What a headache.
So, set three is due today by 10pm… It’s now 3:30pm and the last place it was spotted was in the facility in Teterboro. No other updates. I’m losing faith in this set. If set three fails to show up today or tomorrow (because I’ll give them the benefit of tomorrow), I’m getting a refund and not attempting to do a fourth. Such a bloody hassle for crochet hooks.
Called it on being tomorrow. They’re currently in Staten Island. (How? Why?) Which makes no fucking sense since Teterboro is east of us but when has this entire debacle made sense?
This was today's shipping nightmare:
8:29AM Arrived at Teterboro (after being in parts unknown since Sunday)
4:12PM Finally left Teterboro (what was it doing? Fucking sightseeing?)
5:39PM Arrives in... Staten Island? WTF? Staten Island is south of us!
6:00PM Delayed (I'm... not surprised at this point)
8:25PM Leaves Staten Island (place your bets where it's headed! - I swear, it better not be back up to Teterboro...)
