Sirenna settled down at the desk, her pale blue eyes flicking over the charts that she had requested from her future father-in-law. She supposed it was a bonus that in addition to making seating charts that much easier for future weddings (two years and six months before Dexter was done with his internship under Raven's father before he'd be able to return home and marry her - not that she was counting the days... much), but it would finally clear up who was related to who in the main family. She picked up her mug of coffee (a hotshot if one must be accurate - of course, hers was heavier on the coffee than on the Galliano or heavy cream, if only to get her through the morning) when she spied it. She swallowed harshly, sputtering a bit before composing herself - she had to have read that wrong, really, there was no way...

"Did you know you have a spider in your family tree?" Sirenna asked Daring later that afternoon.
"I'm sorry, a what?" he asked, having been watching Darling practice her fencing before turning his attention back to Sirenna.
"There's a spider in your family tree," she repeated. "You didn't know..?" she asked when she noticed the look of confusion at first.
"Oh, you're talking about Aunt Arachne and her daughter," Daring said, connecting the dots after a moment, a soft chuckle coloring his speech. "I think Aunt Arachne is Father's second cousin once removed," he continued, a thoughtful tone to his voice, trying to place where she was in the tree from ever-loving hell.
"So, have you met her?" Sirenna asked, curious now.
"My aunt, once but that was before the twins were born," Daring said, "my cousin, nope. She attends a sister school that's a pain in the ass to reach. At some point, Dex is going to bother Cupid to see if she can open a portal so we can go visit her."
Sirenna could feel her eyebrows arching. "A sister school...?"
Daring nodded. "It's called Monster High, and I assume you can guess why it's called that."
Sirenna nodded slightly. Well, if Ever After High was where the children of fairy tale characters went, then it was only logical there would be a school for the children of the legendary monsters. "Does your dad know that your cousin is a...?"
"Nope," Daring said, popping the p in nope. "It should be vastly entertaining..."
