Lord Damon Wrynn of Navarre [or Dread Wing - whichever you prefer, he'd answer to either] believed in many things, had seen many things to know when sorcery of the most dark was at hand. He could feel it in the air, see the signs that others missed. He supposed it had something to do with his parents, Sir Etienne and the Lady Isabeau, and the curse that had been placed upon them all those years ago - but that was only a supposition, he had no idea if it were true. But, the fact that he could grow wings that resembled a hawk's said otherwise. He allowed his wings to explode outwards, flexed them a moment, and mantled them behind him. He moved through the halls silently, his destination set in his mind - the library of this castle, where he knew a certain male was hiding.

Peak was settled in his favorite corner of the library, devouring yet another text when he heard the sound of footsteps, familiar footsteps. He wagered it was either his elder brother, Summit, or Lord Damon. His cheeks flushed a little at the thought of the latter. He would confess that he did enjoy the company of the elder knight, more than he probably should, but he was loath to discourage the elder. He liked the attention he was awarded - it was something his elder brother nor his elder sister received from Damon. He closed the book - some forgotten tome of mysticism, setting it on the table.

Damon smiled at the youth, his hawk-sharp yellow eyes softening as he took in the younger male. He reached over and ruffled the other's soft wheat-blond hair. "So, what are you reading?" he asked, moving to settle down next to him.

"One of the books in Father's library," he answered, offering the tome to the elder, a slight flush on his cheeks. "I thought maybe there'd be something in it that could help us locate my missing brother," he admitted softly.

Damon glanced down at the proffered tome, a wry smile crossing his features. "I don't think this will help much," he said, chuckling soft and low. "It's a book of love spells."

Peak's cheeks burned a rich crimson.

Damon ruffled his young lover's hair. "It's okay. Latin can be confusing," he said, hugging the youth to him. "We'll find your older brother, don't worry."
