Khaki - Stella

Stella stared at the khaki colored pants in her hands and then over at her boyfriend (read future husband if he finally got around to asking her that important question! Bloom was already engaged, sort of - he asked, she said yes, but nothing since then, no planning, no announcements, nothing!) "Brandon, sweetie, I think there's a problem."

Brandon slowly turned his gaze from the game he had been half following and fixed it on his girlfriend. "Oh, pumpkin?" he asked.

She held up the khaki pants. "The style is cute and all but, khaki? With my skin tone?"

Brandon gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry, babe," he apologized. He knew that was the wrong color but Riven had sworn up and down that khaki was the currently in color (although, why Riven would be following fashion was beyond him).

"Don't tell me. Let me guess. Riven?" Stella asked.

"Yeah, he said that was the hot color this season."

Stella stared blankly at Brandon. "Brandon, khaki has *never* been the hot color of this season or any season. That's like saying bruise and burnt orange look awesome together." She did make a mental note to offer her services to Airlandis the next time her mother vacationed there - those dragonator uniforms were hideous!

Haha, that was great! I hope Stella remembers that she rocked a khaki outfit when she and the others went through Amentia's kingdom! XD

Sky - Sky

Sky glanced up at the cloudless blue sky, shading his gaze with his left hand. It was a gorgeous day and he was planning on enjoying it as best he could before something came up and ruined it for him. A stray moment of feeling like he was forgetting something sparked for a moment before he readily dismissed it. Nope, thinking of nothing but enjoying the rare perfect day.

Of course, his traitorous brain would jinx him. A small snarl escaped him as he quickly unsheathed his phantoblade and slid easily into position. "Getting really sick of your bullshit," he snarled at Icy.

"Kiss Bloom with that mouth," she taunted, shooting an icy dagger at him.

Sky tilted the blade quickly, knocking the frozen dagger harmlessly to the side. "Not any of your business," he returned, his blue eyes doing a quick sweep of the area, trying to plan out his next move. Icy's magic was fast, but could he be faster?

Icy smirked, noticing Stormy easily sliding into place. Good, everything was proceeding as planned. Hopefully Tritannus would be able to appear and well.. All good things came to those who wait - and she waited a very long time for this..

Cranberry - Lise

AN: Take two. LJ freaked out on me yesterday right as I hit post ::grumbles::

Lise rolled the cranberry colored stone in her hand, marveling at the deep red color before she noticed a rather large flaw in the gemstone - a flaw in the shape of a jet black panther's head. A thoughtful expression crossed her features as she studied it. Well, it was still beautiful, even if it did have that flaw.

Her small hands reached for her tools and she started to work on crafting a setting for the stone - something that she could wear around her neck.

Teto silently slipped in from the shadows and launched himself to land on her shoulder.

She startled a moment, before smiling and reaching up to pet her small fox-squirrel. "It's a pretty stone, isn't it, Teto?" she asked.

Teto chittered something before settling down to doze on his mistress's shoulder.

Lise returned her attention back to working on the setting and smiled softly to herself once she finished. "There," she said, pulling her long pale hair to the side so she could fasten the necklace around her neck.

Her eyes gleamed for a second as her head whipped to the west - very faintly she could hear the cry 'Thunder. Thunder. ThunderCats! Ho!'

Tumbleweed - King Lightstar

King Lightstar stared blankly at the landscape before him. Okay, it was one thing to get lost in a jungle - understandable even given how Baron Dark bloody well betrayed him but..

His dark eyes watched as the eleventh [or was the count higher or lower than that - hard to tell, all those blasted tumbleweeds looked the same] tumbleweed rolled by.

"Where in the name of the crystal am I now?" he asked himself aloud, trying to fill the silence with the sound of something, anything. He allowed his gaze to drift from tumbleweed number whatever [maybe he should name them..? Bob sounded good...] to the sky, vainly hoping to see something that would guide him back home.

Zara pinched the bridge of her nose, her eyes closing in mild irritation. She loved her future sister-in-law, she loved her future sister-in-law. "For the love of the light," she said, finally giving into her exasperation. "What's the matter with wearing that beige cloak?"

"It's just so.. dull.." Jennifer said slowly, staring at the cloak with a veiled bit of disinterest.

"You're also a target for crystal knows what," Zara pointed out. "Wear the damn cloak and let's go out and get some fresh air. I'm sure Sarafina would agree with me, wouldn't you?" she asked the hawk, smirking slightly when the hawk made a noise that could be taken as an affirmative. "See, she agrees with me."

Jennifer pouted for a moment. "Fine," she said and wrapped the cloak around herself. "Let's go."

It wasn't the first time Zara found herself wondering what possessed her father to link her to the royal family - only for her cheeks to heat up when they saw Joshua [stop it! He wasn't the one you're betrothed to! her mind screamed at her traitorous heart] as they headed out. Hopefully, Jennifer didn't notice...

Justin had just picked up an almond when he heard the soft sound of what could possibly be his younger brother. He sighed a moment, wishing he wasn't stuck taking care of the brat. Oh, he knew it was unfair to call his little brother that but well, he was allowed his opinions - even if they weren't popular.

He looked mournfully at his snack before setting it back down so he cold deal with his little brother.

Nocturna could feel her eye ridge arching ever so slightly as she studied her [not mate - her mind continuously denied, even in light of the fact that they had preformed all the rites and rituals of their people, binding them together] mate's bed. She turned slowly and gestured to the bed. "Scarlet sheets?" she asked.

"I'm rather partial to the color," Dread pointed out.

"Skin tone aside," she said slowly. "You do realize that our people would be looking for a sign that we .. Oh.."

Dread merely smiled when she finally caught on. Their two clans didn't have to know - besides, with the war against Airlandis, it would keep them occupied until Dread could find a way to get them out of this mess.

Baron Dark could just feel the start of a headache coming as he listened his loyal minions argue about something. He slanted his gaze to Shriek and gestured.

"Arguing about what color Talyn's hair is. Orange or carrot," she answered, shrugging her bony shoulders. Personally, she didn't give a damn what color her rival's hair color was - all she cared about was getting her hands around it and pulling it all out. It would be entertaining.

The baron buried his face in his bony hand. "Does it truly matter in the long run what hair color that thorn in my side has?" he asked. Clearly, he wasn't giving his minions enough to do if they could waste time arguing over something so dreadfully unimportant.

Blue Silver - Prince Joshua

Joshua picked up a small heart charm off the table, his fingers reflexively folding around it. It was a soft blue silver color - similar to the color of the spikes that used to adorn that chest piece of his [the chest piece still existed - it just didn't have the spikes that threatened to impale someone if they hugged him].

"What's that?" a familiar voice asked as she approached him from behind.

He turned slowly and smiled gently at the woman. "Just something I was working on," he said quietly.

"Can I see?" Zara asked, trying to catch a glimpse of his workspace.

"Not yet," he answered. "Soon, though."

Zara pouted for a moment before smiling. "I can wait. I've waited this long," she said, reaching over to lay her hand against his skeletal cheek.

He gently covered her hand with his much larger one. "I love you," he said quietly.

Stalker shifted his position and watched his alpha with his mate. /Finally/.

Red Gold - Aaron/Iranda

Aaron smiled as Iranda curled up against him on the sofa of their apartment and wrapped a lock of her red-gold hair around his fingers. "So," he began slowly.

"hmm...?" Iranda asked, almost falling asleep in the protective embrace of her boyfriend.

"What's your favorite stone?" he asked.

"Lapis lazuli. Why?" she asked, pivoting in his arms so she could get a better look at him.

"Oh, no reason, other than this," he said, fishing out a box that had been digging into his hip for the past hour and opening it so she could see the ring.

Straw - Guardian

AN: yay, last one!

Guardian shepherded his three wards into the barn and slid the door shut behind the youngest, only to startle when he saw the unexpected wolf. He gestured wordlessly to his nephew, silently demanding how the wolf got in when he was sure that it hadn't been there before.

Joshua gave the smallest of shrugs. "Walks through the shadows?" he offered.

Justin fought back the eyetwitch he knew was forming. Terrific.

Jennifer shook her head and made her way to one of the stalls. "Well, at least there's fresh straw here," she said slowly. "It's not silk and satin, but it'll do for tonight."

"I'll take first watch," Joshua said quietly.

Guardian silently knew that first watch was really code for "not sleeping tonight so I'll take all watches". "If you insist," he said. "But do remember to wake one of us when you need to get some sleep, Joshua."
