Lilac - Iranda [Aaron]

AN: I.. honestly have no idea how the hell this one happened

Iranda stood in the middle of the room, trying to keep her expression neutral. All around her was the sounds of someone crying and it was starting to get on her nerves. Yes, this was horrible - but what was done was done. The lottery had chosen her to be the sacrifice and so, here she was - getting ready for a wedding day that she wished would never happen. She took a shuddery breath, trying to steady herself. No sense for tears - she'd go into this marriage with a smile [even if it was forced]

She closed her eyes and allowed her mother to apply lilac eye shadow to her eyes and to pin a spray of lilac blossoms in her long blonde hair. She opened her eyes slowly and attempted a smile. "It'll be all right, Mother," she said softly.

She settled on a rock, holding a single spray of lilacs in her hand. Soon, /it/ would come and that would be the end of that. She swallowed a lump and tried vainly not to cry and ruin the makeup. But it was so hard not to. She glanced about, hearing the sudden sound of wings. It was here - the one she was being sacrificed to, the dragon.

She took a steadying breath and stood up. Her blue eyes narrowed a moment as she studied the beast before her before they widened in surprise as the dragon changed before her eyes. Her eyes rolled back into her head and she fainted bonelessly to the ground.

The now human dragon silently approached the female and studied her. Well, perhaps this year's sacrifice would be staying with him - instead of being released into neighboring villages..

Ashlynn was just about to make herself a mocha [something that she well and truly needed after dealing with so many idiots] when the bell hanging above the door chimed, causing the young barista to let out a wearied groan. She turned around, her cheeks instantly turning pink. Of course, it would be him and on a day that she was looking less then perfect.

Christopher smiled at the barista. "Mmmm... Something smells good," he said.

Ashlynn gave him a wry smile. "I was about to start a pot for mocha, but I can get you a cappuccino," she offered.

"I think I'll try the mocha," he said, his lips twitching up in a smile. "Since it comes recommended from the barista."

Ashlynn knew she was blushing and was.. Was he actually flirting with her?

AN: ::waves hello to Princess Amethyst::

Apex studied the large topaz stone, her blue eyes focused on it. Six long years and so far no sign of their prince, her cousin. She glanced over at her elder brother, a soft sigh escaping her. "Nothing," she said quietly. "I've tried scrying the stone but I'm getting nothing. It's like Cousin Topaz vanished into thin air."

Z'neth let out a wearied sigh. "Terrific," he groaned. "That means we'll have to send our little brother to our uncle's since he's the one that's shown affinity to that stone."

Apex nodded and pulled her shawl closer to her. "So, how are things with our other cousins," she said, pulling a face at the thought of the White Diamonds.

"Zushan's an asshole as to be expected, especially when he learned Uncle Reishan's trying to nominate me as the next Lord," Z'neth said with a shudder, that was a headache he well and truly didn't want to deal with, but he had little choice. "As for the other two, as well as to be expected."

Apex nodded. "So, which of us gets to tell Peak that he'll be going to Uncle's?"

Z'neth let out a small groan. "I suppose I should. I am the eldest after all and the next Lord." His left eye twitched at the thought.

Was House Topaz related to the White Diamonds? I can't remember. XD

So does Amethyst exist in this 'verse, or is she being played by one of the other characters?

I don't think Topaz was in the new series so I can't say if they were related [wait, it wasn't nor was Turquoise. I remember being disappointed since Lady Turquoise wasn't there, but Ingvie was a good substitute]

And I'm leaning towards her existing ::nods::

Robin's Egg - Peak [Iranda, Z'neth]

Iranda stared at her youngest, disbelief etched on her features as she took in her son's changed appearance. "Phillip?" she began slowly. "Please tell me that's not permanent."

Peak blinked his eyes before it dawned on him as to why his mother asked that - this was the first time she had ever seen him dye his hair. "Don't worry, Mom, it's not permanent," he said, bending the truth ever so slightly. His wasn't - his big brother's however..

Z'neth blew into the kitchen, a murderous look on his features. "Phillip Aaron!" he snapped. "On what planet did you think it was a good idea to dye my hair robin's egg blue!?"

Peak gave a one-shouldered shrug. "Well, look at this way," he said. "It's masking the color your hair turned after being Dark Wing. And besides, it matches your uniform."

Z'neth glared at his younger brother before noticing his younger brother's new hair color. "Bubblegum pink? Really?"

Peak just gave him a wry grin. "I was feeling truly outrageous."

Grape - Iranda [Aaron]

Iranda popped a grape in her mouth as she leaned against the scaly form of her husband. Right now, it was quiet and peaceful - but all that could change in a heartbeat. She allowed her thoughts to drift, a feeling of contentment welling up as she sat with the dragon. "How long do we have?" she asked, regretting her decision to break the silence.

Aaron tilted his large head back, clearly in the midst of some form of mental math. He glanced down at his little mate. "Less then an hour."

Iranda groaned. "Maybe they'll sleep in..?"

Aaron gave a booming laugh, which made her wilt. "No chance."

Peach - Iranda [Aaron, Z'neth, Peak, Summit, Apex]

Iranda looked at her husband. "Wonderful," she said, standing up. Luckily, she wasn't wearing that peach silk dress he had gotten her and was in one of her day to day dresses when the sound of little talons hitting the stone floor alerted them to the arrival of something.

"Mama!" a dragon cub whined. "Tell Summit to give me back my dolly!"

Iranda pinched the bridge of her nose. Terrific, what a way to start their morning - Apex and Summit quarreling over something. Maybe she could convince Aaron to go on that nice holiday with*out* the children. "Summit, give Apex back her doll, please," she sighed. "And Apex, you really shouldn't leave it around where Summit could find it."

A youth approached them, a smaller dragon cub in his arms. "Good morning, Mother," he said, gently bouncing the cub in his arms.

"Good morning, Z'neth. I see you have Peak with you," she said, reaching over to scoop the baby out of his arms.

Z'neth nodded. "He was just starting to whimper when I went to check on him," he explained, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. There was a fine smattering of scales on his face and arms - hinting at his draconic heritage.

Peak quietly dozed now that he was in his mother's arms.

Coral - Nocturna

Nocturna leaned over the pinkish coral, mischief clear in her golden gaze. "So, a little mermaid swam all this way to see the little old sea witch for what reason again?" she asked, her voice oozing with amusement. "Oh, that's right. You want a pair of legs so you can go to the surface and be with him."

She gave an amused snort. "Oh, dearie, that sort of magic doesn't come cheap." She smiled darkly at the girl. "What are you willing to pay?"

Bronze - Dread [Peak]

AN: I don't know where this came from

Dread stared at the bronze statue of the male youth, idly pondering the origins. It was unlike anything he had seen before - the features so delicate and fine. He nodded to himself, deciding that he was going to possess this statue - by whatever means necessary.

The youth stared impassively down at the man before him. He had to admit that the man was handsome. But it wasn't as if he could do anything about it.
