I LOVE Amethyst. A friend of mine had a few of the comics when we were kids at the same time we got into Jewel Riders, so you can imagine how awesome these appeared to us at the time!

I'm reading the new series as well, and it's pretty great too!

I need to find a decent comic book shop and pick them up

heh, I did find a comic book shop that carried it and ended up spending $60+ on comics [issues 1-5 of Amethyst with issue #0 being ordered for me and I should get next week, two issues of the same MLP:FiM comic {because the store had two varient covers}, and back issues of the X-Men that I loved] and that doesn't account for the $15 I just spent on a trade paperback for the new X-Men: First Class issues]

I forgot how expensive comics were XD

And OMG, you were right, it is gorgeous [I'm in love with the princes of Diamond] Hopefully, I'll spot Topaz/Turqoise :D
