Prompt: Blood

Tsunade stared at her hands, her blood-stained hands, her body trembling in abject terror, horror at the sight. So much blood - she knew the human body held so much but she never thought she'd actually see it. "No," she whispered, her voice growing more and more frantic as she struggled to pull herself together, struggled to get her gift of healing to start working - what kind of mednin was she if she couldn't pull herself together and *help*. "Don't you dare leave me," she cried, her voice getting hysterical. "Don't you dare leave me, you hear me! Don't you dare leave me!"

"Tsunade, let him go. There's nothing you can do," the nin to her left said quietly, trying to pull the fracturing, hysterical female away.

"Let me go!" she snarled, breaking free of the nin's grip and returning to trying to heal the broken body of the man she loved. "Don't you leave me! Don't you dare leave me! You promised you wouldn't leave me!"

"S..sorry, Sunshine," he whispered, weakly reaching up to touch her face. His bloodied hand reached her cheek and he rested his hand there for a moment before it slowly dropped, leaving a bloodied tear streak down her face.

Tsunade dropped to the male's chest, weeping softly. "Why.. why couldn't I save you... Orochimaru?"

yep - one of my Naruto 'ships is Orochimaru/Tsunade. If only to help cement the idea that Team Seven = New Sannin.

I haven't kept up with the Naruto series for a while, but yeah, between what I remember and the spoilers I come across on the internet, Sasuke's kinda screwed at this point.

oh, you have no idea after all the trouble Itachi had gone through to get Sasuke out of Orochimaru's control by getting rid of his curse mark, Sasuke has the ever-brilliant (/sarcasm) of resurrecting Orochimaru!
