::wincing in sympathy::
so, my SiL was walking the husky and the pomsky with my nephew, heading for the bus stop. Well, that took a right turn to the wrong - the husky pulled her off the stoop. She now has a broken ankle. As someone with ankle issues (arthritis), I'm in a full blown wince.
She's currently in the ER waiting her turn to see the doctor to get a cast. Her ex-MiL took my nephew to school (and he's very subdued because Mommy's aren't supposed to get hurt)
(Dad can't go down to help since he's still recovering from the whole surgery he's been through - the months long mess. He doesn't have the strength to deal with the husky or have the stamina to do all the stairs. Besides, he's supposed to be taking care of our dogs while Mom and I take a well-earned vacation since we were playing nurse for him during the whole ordeal)
