I heartily recommend Amethyst if you like magical girl fantasy stories! The original 12 issues of the 80s series tell a complete story, but there are quite a few issues of a ongoing series after that if you're interested.

The new series is all collected in one trade paperback called "Sword of Sorcery: Amethyst." I didn't like it quite as much as the originals, but it's still excellent!
